Description

LMM Duramax full delete kit with H&S Mini Maxx V1/V2 (2007-2010)

The 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 6.6L LMM Duramax Delete Kit with Mini Maxx V1/V2 combines engine tuning, DPF/catalyst removal, EGR removal, and a 4-inch exhaust system in one off-road package. The kit reduces exhaust restriction, stops DPF regeneration, and provides selectable power gains for GM/Chevy Duramax pickups.

What's included in LMM Duramax delete kit

  • H&S Mini Maxx V1 or Mini Maxx V2 Tuner - The LMM tuner provides engine calibration, selectable power levels, live monitoring, diagnostics, and control of emissions-related functions. V1 and V2 use different power-level configurations.

  • 4-Inch Downpipe-Back Exhaust System - The 4-inch exhaust replaces the restrictive DPF and catalyst section while connecting to the factory downpipe. The exhaust is available in aluminized steel or T-409 stainless steel, with clamps, hangers, and fasteners supplied.

  • EGR Valve and Cooler Delete Kit - The LMM EGR delete kit removes the EGR valve and cooler hardware to stop exhaust-gas recirculation, reducing soot buildup, intake clogging, and heat transferred through the EGR system.

  • Muffler Configuration - Choose a Straight Pipe setup for a louder exhaust note or With Muffler for reduced sound and drone.

The product uses a complete 4-inch exhaust rather than a standalone delete pipe. A 5-inch exhaust is not part of this specific bundle.

Expected Change

What It Means

DPF regeneration

Eliminated

No active or forced regeneration after correct calibration

Exhaust backpressure

Reduced

DPF and particulate restriction are removed

EGTs

Reduced under load

Less exhaust restriction helps evacuate heat more efficiently

Throttle response

Improved

Faster response to accelerator input

Fuel economy

Approximately 5-10% potential improvementΒ

Reduced exhaust restriction and elimination of DPF regeneration may improve MPG; actual results depend on tune, load, driving style, tires, maintenance, and overall truck conditionΒ

How the delete kit works on your GMC Duramax

  1. Loads the correct Mini Maxx tune for the modified emissions configuration.

  2. Removes DPF and catalyst restriction to stop regeneration and reduce backpressure.

  3. Eliminates EGR recirculation to reduce soot and intake clogging.

  4. Improves exhaust flow through the 4-inch downpipe-back system.

  5. Reduces EGTs and improves response under load.

The LMM DPF delete requires the correct tuner calibration before the truck is operated with the factory DPF and EGR hardware removed.

Installation information

The LMM delete kit includes installation guidance, and the bolt-on hardware can be installed by an owner with solid mechanical experience. A complete install includes tuner setup, exhaust replacement, and EGR valve/cooler work.

No More Emissions Codes

Correct Mini Maxx calibration prevents diagnostic warnings caused specifically by the removed DPF, catalyst, and EGR hardware. Normal diagnostics remain active for unrelated engine, Allison transmission, fuel, turbocharger, wiring, and sensor faults.

DPF and Regeneration Codes

Description

P1448

DPF Regeneration Frequency Too Low

P244B

DPF Differential Pressure Too High

P2455

DPF Differential Pressure Sensor Circuit High

P2463

DPF Soot Accumulation / Restriction

P1448, P244B, and P2463 are documented LMM regeneration and particulate-filter faults, while GM's LMM diagnostic documentation identifies P2455 as a DPF differential-pressure sensor fault.

Correct emissions calibration prevents removed aftertreatment hardware from causing DPF-related warning lights or limp mode conditions. The LMM platform does not require DEF-related codes to be disabled because the 2007.5-2010 LMM does not use a urea DEF/SCR system.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, an LMM tuner is required when the factory DPF and EGR hardware is removed. The H&S Mini Maxx V1 or Mini Maxx V2 supplies the calibration needed for the ECM to operate with the modified emissions configuration. Running the truck with the hardware removed but the stock calibration can cause warning lights, regeneration requests, reduced-power operation, or limp mode. If you prefer a different tuning platform, we also offer a 2007-2010 LMM Duramax Full Delete Kit with EFI Live AutoCal V3 tuner option.

Yes, removing the DPF increases exhaust flow by eliminating the restrictive particulate filter and catalyst section. The 4-inch downpipe-back exhaust creates a more direct path from the factory downpipe, reducing backpressure and improving throttle response. Lower exhaust restriction can also reduce EGTs under load and eliminate heat generated during active DPF regeneration.

An LMM EGR delete can reduce one source of intake heat and eliminate problems associated with a clogged or failing EGR cooler, but EGR removal cannot prevent every overheating condition. Coolant level, radiator condition, water pump performance, towing load, ambient temperature, and engine calibration still affect operating temperature. Removing EGR recirculation also reduces soot contamination inside the intake.

The H&S Mini Maxx V1 provides 0, +60, +120, and +175 HP, while the Mini Maxx V2 provides 0, +30, +65, and +100 HP in the configuration specified for this bundle. The best power level depends on driving use, towing load, truck condition, and supporting hardware. Lower levels are better suited to towing and regular use, while the highest settings focus on maximum performance.
