DPF & CAT delete pipes for diesel trucks
Dieselino offers DPF delete pipes designed to replace the factory DPF section with a straight-through pipe. A compatible tuner is required separately to recalibrate the ECU after installation. The pipes support various engines, including Nissan Titan XD Cummins, Ford Powerstroke, GM/Chevy Duramax, Jeep/RAM ECOdiesel.
Depending on the tune, vehicle condition, and platform, the pipes provide up to 30-120 HP, 90-180 lb-ft torque, and 5-15% better fuel economy.
Technical specifications and pipe construction details
Material options: Depending on the platform, systems may use T304 stainless steel, T409 stainless steel, or aluminized steel construction:
-
T-304 stainless steel: It is near-impermeable to road salt and rust, offers excellent durability, and features a chrome-like finish.
-
T-409 stainless steel: Offers good corrosion resistance and is commonly used in OEM exhaust systems. Surface discoloration may occur over time, but structural durability remains strong.
-
Aluminized steel: Lower-cost material commonly used in mild-climate applications
High-flow design: Straight-through, unrestricted exhaust path that maximizes scavenging and reduces EGTs.
Pipe diameter: Pick depending on their truck’s model, year, and make:
-
3-inch: Common on smaller-displacement diesel engines and provides good exhaust velocity while maintaining towing drivability.
-
4-inch: Offer lower backpressure and are commonly used on mid-size and heavy-duty diesel platforms.
Vehicle-specific design: Any pipe you purchase serves as a direct replacement for factory DPFs or CATs due to OE-style design.
Complete hardware included: All Dieselino pipes come with high-grade flanges, mounting hardware, heat shields, etc.

How to choose the right DPF delete pipe
-
Check for compatibility: confirm your truck's year, make, and model, and ensure proper fitment.
-
Consider diameter: depending on your truck’s year, make, and model, pick between a 3-inch or a 4-inch pipe.
-
Body style compatibility: C&C trucks often require different pipes than standard pickups due to frame length differences.
-
Select material (if available): select the one that suits your driving needs.
- Tuner compatibility: pick a tuning device that fits the make, model, and year for optimal performance gains. You can also consider full delete kits for the same reason.
FAQs
This entirely depends on your truck’s year, make, and model. Reference each pipe’s specification before making a purchase. If you need examples, here are a few model-specific tips:
- 2011 Ford F250 - Choose this 6.7 Powerstroke delete pipe.
- 2009 RAM 3500 - The DPF delete pipe, 6.7 Cummins would be a good fit.
- 2014 RAM 1500 - You can purchase this Ecodiesel delete pipe.
- 2018 GM/Chevy 2500HD/3500HD - You can consider this L5P delete pipe from Dieselino.
Yes. Removing the DPF also means disconnecting its upstream and downstream sensors. Without a reflash, the ECU detects missing sensor input, triggers fault codes, and can push the engine into limp mode. A proper tune rewrites the relevant ECU tables to eliminate those codes and restore normal operation.
A standard pipe replaces the factory DPF section. A race pipe exhaust is a broader off-road configuration that may also remove the CAT, SCR, or other emissions-related components, depending on the truck platform.
Yes, but compatibility should always be verified before ordering. Cab & Chassis (C&C) trucks often use different frame lengths, wheelbases, exhaust routing, and mounting locations than standard pickup models, which can require different delete pipes or exhaust components.
If your setup requires tuning, make sure the tuning platform supports your specific Cab & Chassis application. Some trucks may require different calibrations than pickup models. Popular tuning solutions include EZ Lynk, EFI Live, and Mini Maxx, depending on the vehicle platform and model year.
If you're unsure about fitment or tuner compatibility, contact us with your VIN, year, make, and model, and we'll help verify the correct setup before you order.
Depending on current availability, customers can select between a few stainless steel grades:
- T-304 stainless steel: highly resistant to road salt, rust, and corrosion, with a polished chrome-like finish. Well-suited for trucks operating in harsh or high-moisture climates.
- T-409 stainless steel: offers reliable rust and corrosion resistance under standard conditions. Best suited for warm, dry climates with minimal exposure to road salt or moisture.
