Description

LMM Duramax full delete kit with EFI Live AutoCal V3 (2007-2010)

The 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 6.6 LMM Duramax Delete Kit with EFI Live AutoCal V3 combines custom engine tuning, DPF/catalyst delete, EGR delete kit, and a 4-inch exhaust system in one off-road kit. The complete setup reduces exhaust restriction, eliminates regeneration cycles, and provides selectable horsepower levels for daily driving, towing, and performance use.

What's included in LMM Duramax delete kit

  • EFI Live AutoCal V3 Tuner - Provides vehicle-specific custom tuning, diagnostics, and data logging. The tuner receives the custom calibration prepared for the truck rather than using one generic file for every LMM.

  • 4-Inch Downpipe-Back Exhaust System - Replaces the factory DPF and catalyst section while connecting to the original downpipe. The LMM system is available in T-409 stainless steel and includes the required clamps, hangers, and fasteners.

  • EGR Valve & Cooler Delete Kit - The LMM EGR delete kit removes the EGR valve and cooler hardware to stop recirculation, reduce intake soot, and eliminate EGR-related clogging.

  • Muffler Configuration - Choose Straight Pipe for a louder note or With Muffler for reduced sound and drone.

Vehicle compatibility

The LMM Duramax kit fits 2007.5-2010 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra HD pickups equipped with the Duramax 6.6L LMM engine.

  • Years: 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010

  • Makes: Chevrolet, GMC

  • Models: Silverado 2500HD, Silverado 3500HD, Sierra 2500HD, Sierra 3500HD

  • Engine: 6.6L Duramax LMM

  • Body Style: Pickup

  • Transmission: Allison automatic

  • Cab & Chassis: Not compatible

  • Application: Off-road

The LMM platform remained largely consistent through the 2007.5-2010 model years, so a separate year-change table is not needed for this kit.

Performance & tuning

  • No forced DPF regeneration

  • Reduced exhaust backpressure

  • Better throttle response

  • Improved towing response

  • Potential fuel economy gain

The 6.6 Duramax delete kit uses custom EFI Live calibration to match the ECM to the modified DPF, catalyst, and EGR configuration.

Expected changes

Metric

Expected Change

What It Means

DPF regeneration

Eliminated

No active or forced regeneration after correct calibration

Fuel economy

Approximately 5-10% potential improvement

Actual MPG depends on load, tune, tires, driving habits, and truck condition

EGTs under load

Approximately 100-200°F lower possible

Reduced restriction allows exhaust heat to leave more efficiently

Exhaust backpressure

Reduced

DPF and catalyst restriction is removed

Throttle response

Improved

Faster response to accelerator input

Intake soot

Reduced

EGR recirculation no longer routes soot back through the intake

Higher horsepower calibrations place more demand on the engine and Allison transmission. Lower power stages are the better choice for sustained towing.

How the delete kit works on your GMC Duramax

  1. Loads the EFI Live custom tune for the modified emissions configuration.

  2. Removes DPF and catalyst restriction to stop regeneration cycles.

  3. Eliminates EGR recirculation to reduce soot and intake contamination.

  4. Provides selectable power levels matched to different driving demands.

  5. Reduces backpressure and EGTs for improved engine response.

The correct EFI Live calibration for the delete kit should be loaded before the truck is operated with the factory DPF and other emissions hardware removed.

Installation information

The kit includes installation instructions, and an owner with solid mechanical skills can install the bolt-on hardware independently. The complete job includes EFI Live setup, exhaust replacement, and EGR valve/cooler delete.

No More Emissions Codes

Correct EFI Live calibration for the LMM delete kit prevents emissions-related warnings caused specifically by the removed DPF, catalyst, EGR, and associated sensors. Normal diagnostics remain active for unrelated engine, Allison transmission, fuel, turbocharger, wiring, and sensor problems.

DPF and regeneration codes

DTC Code

Description

P1448

DPF Regeneration Frequency Too Low

P2002

Diesel Particulate Filter Efficiency Below Threshold

P244B

DPF Differential Pressure Too High

P2453

DPF Differential Pressure Sensor Range / Performance

P2455

DPF Differential Pressure Sensor Circuit High

P2463

DPF Soot Accumulation / Restriction

LMM diagnostic documentation specifically identifies P1448, P244B, P2455, and P2463 as DPF/regeneration-related faults.

DTC Code

Description

P0420

Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold

P0546

EGT Sensor 1 Circuit High

P2033

EGT Sensor 2 Circuit High

P20E2

EGT Sensor 1-2 Correlation

GM's LMM diagnostic documentation confirms P0546, P2033, and P20E2 as exhaust-gas-temperature sensor faults used by the aftertreatment system.

Correct tuning also prevents reduced-power or limp mode conditions caused specifically by the removed aftertreatment hardware.

The 2007.5-2010 LMM Duramax does not use urea DEF/SCR; DEF was introduced on the succeeding LML generation.

Frequently Asked Questions

A properly installed LMM delete kit can eliminate several emissions-related failure points, including DPF clogging, failed regeneration, EGR soot buildup, and cooler problems. Overall reliability still depends on correct EFI Live calibration, regular maintenance, cooling-system condition, and appropriate power-stage selection. Higher-output tunes also place more load on the engine and Allison transmission.

Yes, removing the EGR cooler eliminates future failures of the removed cooler itself. EGR delete also stops exhaust-gas recirculation, which reduces soot contamination and heat entering through the factory path. EGR delete does not prevent unrelated cooling-system problems such as radiator, water-pump, thermostat, or coolant issues.

Yes, removing the DPF and catalyst creates a less restrictive exhaust path and reduces backpressure. The included 4-inch downpipe-back T-409 stainless steel exhaust connects to the factory downpipe and replaces the restrictive aftertreatment section. Reduced restriction can improve throttle response and lower EGTs under sustained load.

Yes, EFI Live AutoCal V3 and vehicle-specific custom tuning are included with the delete kit. The available engine settings are Stock, +30 HP, +65 HP, +100 HP, and +130 HP. EFI Live also provides diagnostic and data-logging capability, while optional TCM tuning can be selected when transmission calibration is required.
