One of the best upgrades you can do to improve the reliability of your 6.6 Duramax pickup is to install an EGR removal kit. With this kit, you can completely remove the EGR valve and EGR cooler.
Vehicle Fitment
2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 Chevy / GMC Duramax L5P 6.6L 2500 and 3500. Not suitable for trucks with cab and commercial type chassis.

Improved exhaust flow allows the turbocharger to pick up speed faster, resulting in quicker throttle response. Installation Tips
The kit includes everything you need for a complete installation. Installation takes about 2 hours using basic hand tools. Our EGR kit versus the competition
There are two different EGR kits available. A version with a coolant bypass plate and coolant re-direction house and another (cheaper version) without the coolant bypass plate. We only sell the version with the bypass plate because it allows the coolant to circulate more evenly throughout the engine and is a better design.
Made in the USA
Most of the EGR kits sold these days are made overseas. While they are cheaper, there can be fit issues, tolerances are not as tight, coolant leaks are common, and overall quality leaves a lot to be desired.
