Description

Ram 1500 EcoDiesel full delete kit with EZ Lynk Auto Agent 3 (2014-2019)

The 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 Ram 3.0 EcoDiesel Delete Kit with EZ Lynk Auto Agent 3 combines cloud-based tuning, DPF/DEF/SCR delete hardware, and EGR cooler delete in one off-road package. The complete setup reduces exhaust restriction, stops regeneration cycles and DEF consumption, and matches the engine calibration to the modified emissions system.

What's included in Ram EcoDiesel delete kit

  • EZ Lynk Auto Agent 3 - The cloud-connected Ecodiesel tuner plugs into the OBD-II port and works through a smartphone. EZ Lynk supports custom tunes, live data monitoring, diagnostics, remote file delivery, and SOTF-compatible tuning.

  • 3-Inch DPF/CAT Delete Pipe - The 3-inch T-409 stainless steel pipe replaces the factory particulate filter and catalyst section while retaining the remaining factory exhaust. Mandrel bends, OE-style routing, sensor bungs, and mounting points support bolt-on fitment.

  • EGR Valve & Cooler Delete Kit - The Ecodiesel EGR delete kit removes the EGR valve and cooler hardware to stop exhaust recirculation. Aluminum block-off components, gaskets, sealing hardware, hoses, and fittings reduce soot buildup and intake clogging.

  • Installation Hardware - Stainless clamps, gaskets, brackets, fasteners, and sealing components are supplied for the corresponding hardware configuration.

Higher-performance off-road use

The available power levels increase horsepower and improve torque delivery without requiring a different hardware package.

Expected changes

Metric

Expected Change

What It Means

DPF regeneration

Eliminated

No active or forced regeneration with correct calibration

DEF use

Eliminated

DEF refills are no longer required

Fuel economy

About 1-3 MPG potential gain

Actual MPG depends on load, tires, tune, driving style, and vehicle condition

EGTs

About 80-150°F lower during steady pulls

Reduced restriction helps exhaust heat leave the engine

Backpressure

Reduced

DPF and catalyst restriction are removed

Throttle response

Improved

Faster engine response to accelerator input

Reliability

Fewer aftertreatment-related failure points

Regular engine and transmission maintenance remains necessary

How the delete kit works on your 3.0 EcoDiesel

  1. Loads the EZ Lynk tune for the modified emissions configuration.

  2. Removes DPF and catalyst restriction to stop regeneration cycles.

  3. Disables DEF/SCR operation to prevent related derate conditions.

  4. Eliminates EGR recirculation to reduce soot and intake contamination.

  5. Reduces backpressure and EGTs for improved engine response.

The Ram Ecodiesel delete kit requires the correct custom calibration before the vehicle is operated with the factory emissions hardware removed.

Installation information

The Ram 1500 Ecodiesel delete kit includes installation guidance, and an experienced owner can install the bolt-on hardware independently. The correct EZ Lynk calibration should be loaded and verified before DPF, DEF/SCR, or EGR hardware is removed.

DIFFICULTY

Advanced

EST. TIME

5-9 hours

TOOLS

3/8" and 1/2" metric sockets, extensions, wrenches, torque wrench, penetrating oil, O2/EGT sensor socket, jack stands or lift

TUNING

EZ Lynk Auto Agent 3, smartphone, AutoAgent app, internet connection

INSTALL TYPE

Bolt-on exhaust and EGR hardware

Seized clamps, rusted fasteners, difficult sensor delete, or limited access around the EGR cooler can increase install time. Dieselino recommends transferring exhaust sensors carefully and checking exhaust joints for leaks after the first heat cycle.

No More Emissions Codes

Correct EZ Lynk calibration prevents emissions-related warnings caused specifically by removed DPF, DEF/SCR, and EGR hardware. Normal diagnostics remain active for unrelated engine, turbocharger, transmission, fuel, wiring, and sensor problems.

Frequently Asked Questions

The EcoDiesel package described on this page provides +40 HP and +60 HP tuning options. The lower power setting is better suited to everyday driving and towing, while the higher setting provides stronger off-road performance. Actual horsepower and torque depend on engine condition, fuel quality, installed hardware, tire size, elevation, and calibration.

Yes, removing the DPF can improve throttle response by reducing particulate-filter and catalyst backpressure. A less restrictive exhaust path allows the turbocharger and engine to respond more quickly under load. The EZ Lynk calibration coordinates fueling and boost with the modified exhaust configuration, while the 3-inch stainless steel pipe removes the restriction associated with DPF regeneration hardware.

An EGR delete reduces soot recirculation and removes a major source of intake contamination, but a delete cannot prevent every overheating condition. Removing the EGR valve and cooler reduces soot buildup and eliminates heat transfer through the EGR cooler. Coolant condition, radiator efficiency, towing load, ambient temperature, and general engine health still affect operating temperature.

Removing the DPF, DEF/SCR, and EGR systems can reduce maintenance associated with regeneration failures, DEF pumps and injectors, clogged EGR passages, and cooler problems. The 3.0L EcoDiesel still requires normal oil, fuel-filter, cooling-system, turbocharger, and 8-speed transmission maintenance. Proper tuning and regular service remain essential for long-term reliability.
